Garden State African Violet Club 66th Annual Show & Sale

Event Description and Purpose:
The Garden State African Violet Club presents its 66th Annual Show and Sale on May 6, 2017 (12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.) and May 7, 2017 (11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at the Mercer County Community College Student Center, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, New Jersey.

This year’s show, themed “Violets Down the Shore,” will feature America’s favorite houseplants—African violets—in horticulture form and flower arrangements, displayed in the spirit of the Jersey Shore.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see hundreds of judged plants on display, grown by local club enthusiasts and prominent growers. Experts will be on hand to answers your questions. Workshops will also be available to help you grow beautiful plants. The workshop on May 6, 2017 will begin at 1:30pm “Potting and Care of Streptocarpus plants”. The May 7, 2017 workshop will be at 1:00 pm “Basic Care of African Violets”. Workshop attendees will receive a coupon for a discounted plant.

There will be drawings for free plant giveaways. Plants will be for sale from commercial growers and club members. Remember, plants make great Mother’s Day gifts.

Enjoy viewing award-winning African violet plants, creative designs and educational displays to help you grow beautiful African violets.
